During a visit to the Santos Football club Trophy Hall and Memorial Museum, fans – and even those who are not so keen on football! – can learn about some of the many incredible feats of a team that stopped a war, scored more goals and is a renowned production line of international football cracks.

There are 380m² for visitors to have fun and learn about the legends of the most famous ‘vila’ in the world: Vila Belmiro, the neighborhood that is home to the Urbano Caldeira Stadium, and Santos FC. Installed on the ground floor of the stadium since November 17, 2003, the  Memorial Museum presents eternal moments of the great idols of all time, some with their own spaces, like Pelé and Neymar, as well 600 trophies, photographs, videos, prizes, banners and temporary exhibitions.

For those who can spare the time, it’s worth having a guided visit, during which you get to know all the interesting details about the memorial museum, the Press Room, the professional team’s dressing room, the stands and feel the emotion of stepping on the same ground as icons of world football. During a regular visit, just the Trophy Hall and Memorial, and stands are included.

Pelé

In the space devoted to King Pelé, panels show the staggering statistics of the eternal number 10 shirt, such as 1091 goals scored in 1114 games for Santos. There’s an extra thrill when visitors learn that  the locker belonging to the ‘Athlete of the 20th Century’ still keeps items that nobody knows safely under lock and key.

Neymar

A replica of the Puskas Prize, awarded by FIFA for the most beautiful goal in 2011, is one of the highlights of the space dedicated to  Neymar, another crack who made his name in the world via Vila Belmiro. There is also the original silver medal won by the Brazilian national team at the London Olympics in 2012.
